'23-'24 Calendar

Our half-day program runs Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. and until 3:30 p.m. for the full-day program. Our school year starts the fourth week of August and goes until the Thursday before Memorial Day. Preschool continues into the summer for eight weeks during the months of June and July. Important dates, holidays, and days off are noted below.

First Day of School: Monday, August 21, 2023

Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place during the weeks of September 25-October 13

Friday, November 10: Veteran’s Day Holiday (no preschool)

November 20-24: Thanksgiving Break (no preschool)

How does Universal Preschool work at Thorne Nature Preschool?

This year, Colorado families can enroll their children at Thorne Nature Preschool and register with the state to receive funding to cover up to 15 hours of care as part of UPK. All children who will be four years old by October 1, 2023, qualify to participate in the UPK through Thorne. Children with certain qualifying factors can receive up to 30 hours of care through the Universal Preschool program.
